A popular restaurant in Knightdale has racked up another recognition. Prime Barbecue, located across the street from Knightdale Station Park, has recently been named one of the top 100 BBQ restaurants in the U.S. by Yelp Elites. It comes in at No. 63 on the list and is one of four in North Carolina to make the cut. Run by champion pitmaster Christopher Prieto, Prime Barbecue offers smoked meats done in a signature style that combines Prieto’s Texas roots with his years of cooking across the country. “Prime Barbecue brings together the best of all great BBQ techniques to create something uniquely its own,” the restaurant’s website says. “Our food is steeped in tradition, but given new life.”
